Our core development team brings a 20-year track record of translating vision into practical applications in a variety of settings. While millions of software programmers know how to develop database applications, only a few dozen worldwide have the experience of developing the core application and database server software that drives their operations. Our team includes three developers with this expertise, providing the capacity to implement our system-level technology at a carrier-class scale. Our inter-disciplinary team also draws heavily on its members’ expertise in computational linguistics, knowledge management, expert systems and other fields not typically applied to application server and database server technologies.
While most developers of core technologies are not exposed to their real-life use, the ROBUST team has deep experience working with customers to solve their problems. We know the difference between developing software that merely reflects technical requirements and inventing breakthrough solutions that create significant value.
THE TEAM'S CORE INNOVATION
When ROBUST was founded in 2011, the team had nearly two decades of experience developing successful point solutions to overcome different aspects of the design decisions that had hindered the software industry for 60 years. Equipped with this experience, the team decided that the time had come to analyze the variety of system software problems they had seen in different industries to find a common root cause.
The team developed a solution that addresses the problem at its core – the fundamental limitation of the software infrastructure that underlies all database applications.
The ROBUST technology resolves what some software experts have termed the “Vietnam of Computer Science”, the inevitable 'quagmire' of on-going transformations between object-oriented programs and relational database technologies that plague database applications across organizations and industries.
To create this solution, the ROBUST team applied its expertise in domains as diverse as application and database servers’ kernels, generative linguistics and information retrieval engines, frame-based neural network technologies, mathematical theories of communication, and carrier-class transactional and analytical business applications.
These diverse capabilities underlie the unique and multi-disciplinary software development and deployment platform called ROBUST: Relational Object-Based Universal Software Topology. This software platform resolves the problems caused by the fundamental software design decisions to separate data from the instruction for it use. It eliminates all costs, risks and fundamental limitations resulting from excess, complex and fragile transformations, and provides the functional, operations and performance benefits for all robust applications. It also provides an integrated set of high-performance application infrastructure services that are built-in to any generated application and automatically provides it with carrier-class scale. Finally, the team enabled these unique capabilities to run on standard hardware and software technologies used in today’s database applications.
